Get rid of sore and cracked nipples that can occur during breastfeeding
Sore nipples are a common complaint among women. In fact, nearly two-thirds of women suffer from it during their lifetime. It is most common in mothers who are breastfeeding their infants, 80 percent experience nipple pain and soreness. Typically, it is due to the baby being unable to latch on properly during breastfeeding.
Painful cracked and bleeding nipples are not a normal side effect of breastfeeding. Cracked or bleeding nipples nearly always happen because a baby isn’t latching on to the breast well. If your baby can’t take a large enough mouthful of breast tissue when he latches on, your nipple may become squashed between your baby’s tongue and his hard palate. This will make your nipples sore, and cause them to crack and bleed.
